back to the usual crapola and such

Well, you know, life goes on, birthdays or not. I am halfway to 88, and twice 22, now that is remarkable...
yesterday, of course, I had to teach my Thursday afternoon advanced pottery class at Cornell and it was a big teapot lesson. I was trying to keep the throwing and finishing as simple as possible, because in the past it has been a LONG 90 minute class which is exhausting and boring, but I managed the simplified lesson in 37 minutes. BLAHBLAHBLAHSPOUTSBLAHLIDSBLAHblabbity blab...
3 of my students are from Chile and I tried to explain the American expression "like watching paint dry", meaning I did not want my lesson to bore them.
They took pictures actually, and then each student started successfully making teapots, oh joy!

Spike went all ninja on this bag's azz...he showed it a thing or 2....

mmmm, RAGE

Spike is crazy happy.
Paint drying is one of my favorite things to watch.
half way to 88...now that is a thought.

Did you tell the Chilean students that after the semester we all get to go to Chile with them and have a HUGE party? I just made that new rule up. ;-)

That is the most giant Penny eye that I've ever seen!

37 minutes?! It takes me that long just to center the clay. ;)

Look! Spike is possessed by the Green Goblin, or Hornet, or possibly Grinch.

My, what nice glowy eyes you have Spike. I am getting sleepy.

In hanging around a group of people from another country, I became aware of how many odd sayings we have...and how often The Wizard of Oz is referenced, by the way.

Happy teapot day!
