Georges Le Soq hits the kitchen on Valentine's EVE

My sock monkey Georges is hoping to SCORE some action for Valentine's, and he tells me has a number of dates planned for Sunday. I'd believe it when I see it. He is like
"mon ami, you got yourself a, how you say, HOT BABE" and I am like
"why yes Georges, she is the HOTTEST" and he is like
"ees true, but maybe I can score a hot babe for myself" and I am like
"I have my secrets, Georges" and he is like
"you share vis me" and I am like
"what, you mean, TRIPLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES????" and he is like
"mon ami, I want to make it vis zee ladies, help me, I am mebbe desperate" and he gives me that sad puppydog sock monkey look and I am unconvinced until he tells me
"mon ami, you help me vis zee cookies, I make zee dinner: zee chili mac tater tot burritos!!!!" and I don't need any more convincing....

Later Georges and I are discussing some couples I have seen today, and maybe this is merely a straight guy perspective:
"Georges, I see all these pretty women walking around with ugly guys. They're all ugly and charmless and unmannered. Goodness, women get the short end of the stick: a world full of wonderful women, and all these horrible men. I mean, my wife has ME, and you know, I am the lucky one in this relationship fer sure" and he is like
"eees true, zo many gorgeous, charming femmes, very few dashing French sock monkeys like me to keep dem happy. I am reminded, mon ami, of zat tune from Joe Jackson, where he starts with "pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street" and later he wonders "is she really going out with him?" 'cause there's something going wrong around here..."

Women aren't only interested in looks. It's personality first. Someone you can talk to and laugh with. A good personality can make anyone look good.

I love this video...I love that Joe Jackson can see the GORILLAS!!!

I hope you and the missus have a wonderful VD!!!
I mean that in the nicest of ways. :)

tater tots? This monkey really is busy and appears to be quite a chef.

You certainly know how to make tater tots special. You should write a tater tot cookbook.
The cookies look so, so, so good!!! Happy Valentine's Day to you & Mrs. Tasty Cake :)

Yeah, "that sad puppydog sock monkey look" will do it every time, esp. if there are tater tots involved! ;)

Happy Valentines' Day to you & your lovely wife, Gary! ♥

Oh Georges needs you as his "wingman" or whatever they call it. I would say you two worked out a great deal with the cooking. A tater tots cookbook WOULD be a great idea and probably a hit with all sock monkeys.

And Georges scores with a walk down memory lane with that Joe Jackson song. I love it!!!!

The guy who introduces the video is Jimmy Savile (Sir Jimmy!), he lives just up the road from me, in a penthouse overlooking the park.
Jim was the first, and the last presenter on BBC's "Top of the Pops", (1964-2006)from which the video was taken, he's about 84 now.
He is truly a nice guy.

Georges Le Soq would get on well with him, I'd expect.
We'll be expecting an update on his success with those lady silk-stocking monkeys.

You know, when she really loves you, she sees beyond the gorilla.
For which we men must be eternally grateful.

I'm fascinated, and a little terrified by the concept of Vegan baking. Don't get me wrong, I've seen Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World (cookbook, in case you aren't familiar, and think me completely off my nut), so I know it is possible.

I was a vegetarian for quite a long time, but I'd cry and clutch blocks of cheddar cheese at the mere thought of being a Vegan.

Gary, Tater Tots owes you a pretty penny, you give them some great food porn here.

It's amazing how much fun the "gorillas" have.

At least Georges knows enough to charm them with chocolate

Jason, as himself said...

Um, what else got slipped into that funky burrito?

Jason, as himself said...

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE tater tots.
