used to have a truck.....

.....and after that a station wagon, but last summer the wife was like "let's get this cute little silver Subie" which is pretty awesome 99 percent of the time, except when you are used to tossing EVERYTHING in your vehicle, big or small. I had the lawnmower tuned up, but transport involved a LOT of rope. You're driving up a hill hoping it doesn't fall out the back, which in a movie, it would. Natch, it seems funny, snow all over the ground and falling from the sky, but my lawn mower is READY...if ever.....it gets.....sunny and green....
btw, even with a small silver subie, let's say you're at the pump? Still, there goes 40 bucks in the blink of an eye....

I was working down at the Cornell studios Friday with many of my pals. Tommy was making all these bowls....the University wants to close the studio in 2 months. Dang, what an AWESOMEly nice place it is. We are trying to rally the troops and keep it open....
below: Spike is a naughty cat. He likes to get onto the counter and attack the pineapple. Although I s'pose if that is the whole list of his misdeeds, it is pretty small.....
have an excellent Saturday :)

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen that cat look that way--defiant, imperious, haughty and you caught it on camera!

Bars can be good...but to replace a clay studio??? That really bites.

What a shame it would be to close the studio!
Better than having your own truck? Having a friend with a truck!

I want to know if you've ever caught Spike licking his claws after a pineapple attack. That's what I want to know.

umm... what is the university's mission... education or drinking???
i hope you can save the ceramic studio

if you ask the students, they will assure you that its mission is DRINKING, and they are the ones making the decision here

Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with them. Perhaps someone on the board of directors has a little alcohol problem and wants to open a bar so it seems 'ok' to drink on campus? Still crapola in my book. :/

Seriously, the university wants to close the ceramics studio??? just for the summer or for good?? do they really want to open a bar, or you just kidding?

That's terrible! I was looking forward to coming back this summer :[ Is there anything people can do to help?

That seriously sucks about the studio! I like bars and everything, but on a college campus?! And at the expense of a ceramics studio?! Someone needs to seriously get their priorities in order. Despite what popular culture wold have us believe, colleges and universities are here to educate, not intoxicate. Like Vicki said, is there anything we can do to help the situation? Letters, phone calls, etc?

That's a whole lotta bananas, Gary!!!

Hi Spike!

Dude! Chain yourselves to the wheels! Put the kilns in front of the doors and turn 'em on! Don't let em in! Stockpile food and water, wait em out!

Sorry, remembering protests from the 70's...

I really don't know who'd come out worse in a tussle, Spike or the pineapple.
