"Hey, time for a reader's poll, who are these freaks? I mean nice people who read this blog???"
and the wife is quick on her feet, even though it is barely 5:30 am:
(Go to comments and tell us all about yerself, please!!!! Below is a blank you can copy this and paste!!!!)
1) What is your favorite color??? I mean, you have to choose just one? I have, well, maybe 3 or 4: spring green or celadon would be first....tied with a pretty periwinkle blue, why do I have to choose one of those? BUT, when it comes to, like bikes, cars or that sort of thing, I love a nice bright tomato-cherry red, but then again, I totally looooove a nice buttery-lemony yellow. There. 4 favorite colors.
2) What is your favorite breakfast??? Oh gosh. Coffee. We have a lot of oats with applesauce, but scones are probably my favorite, although I like a bagel with pb and j....
3) Describe your favorite socks. I have at least 3 pairs of skull and cross bone socks...I like those a lot, but I really love striped socks most, especially the ones the wife has hidden away in her desk which are for my birthday later this spring....
4) What was your favorite bedtime story when you were a kid???? Probably Peter rabbit. I never understood the last bit though: what on earth was chamomile tea? Also, who would put a rabbit in a pie, like Peter's father had been? Makes you think the English are weird (they are!), but anyway, still my favorite story because of the exquisite drawings....
5) What is your favorite holiday disaster?
Oh gosh. OK, 1990, the day before Christmas I adopted a fuzzy stray kitten named Sammy, my first adult pet. He was sooooo sick all that first weekend and almost died, but then suddenly he was eating chicken baby food and lived with me for 17 years. He was so wonderful :)

1) What is your favorite color???
I have no preference for colors, I love them all!
2) What is your favorite breakfast??? Just coffee, I don't eat breakfast, ever. I will have oatmeal for lunch, or eggs, bacon, etc...for dinner.
3) Describe your favorite socks.
I just wear plain ole white ones. I do love to wear them with tons of holes in them because it really upsets George, and I flaunt the holes in front of him.
It's the only passive aggressive thing I do on purpose. George is passive, aggressive all the time, so this is how I get back at him. Payback, oh yeah!
4) What was your favorite bedtime story when you were a kid????
My Mother was a truly wonderful story teller, she would make up her own Beatrix Potter type stories every night to me. I loved them, and she could create such beautiful imagery in my mind....
5) What is your favorite holiday disaster?
When my older sister Kathy insisted on carrying the Boston Baked Beans (they took 12 hours for Lynn to make) which was everyone's favorite. She thought she was the supreme one worthy of carrying them. Anyway, she dumped the whole thing on the kitchen floor, lol lol :) Every one screamed in horror, she ran away in shame, shame I tell ya. lol lol
To this day I always use the cliche' "Don't Spill The Beans" when I am around her, just to rub it in as much as I can. Wow, I guess I do two passive aggressive things after all...lol lol I call it payback...
1) What is your favorite color??? depends on what it is on... i like black cars and clothes, a nice shade of purple sometimes... and brown

5) What is your favorite holiday disaster? since it is cold in NH my mom always put the pies & extra goodies out on the porch on holidays. sort of like having an extra fridge. one thanksgiving we had a new siberian husky puppy and with the house crowded with company he was underfoot. someone decided he would be better off on the porch. yep, thats right, he ate ALL the thanksgiving pies. he looked so cute with his face covered in pumpkin filling... my mom was furious.

5) What is your favorite holiday disaster?
The time I started the oven on fire the day before Thanksgiving making Martha Stewart's Croissant Recipe. It was bad.
1. Purple, always and forever.
2. Fried eggs - sunny side up (or dippy eggs as they're called here in PA), toast, bacon, oj.
3. Black socks that are very warm.
4. The Lord of the Rings or Black Beauty
5. Not really a disaster but, when I was 4, my grandmother decided I MUST have a baby doll and crib (I'm female). I never liked dolls (still don't). My mother said I woke up Christmas morning, took one look at the doll and crib, chucked the doll to our dog to chew on, and promptly went to my bedroom and brought all of my stuffed animals out and put them in the crib. My grandmother gave up on the doll business.
Color: I love so many colors... but I usually can count on magenta, orange, and french blue to make me smile.
Breakfast: I love most breakfast foods EXCEPT for hot cereal of any kind (including the popular oatmeal everyone seems to love)---BLECH! I love NYC bagels with cream cheese and tomatoes, or an English muffin with an egg in between, or toast with peanut butter, fruit of all kinds, and LOTS of coffee!
Socks: a pair of angora and wool argyle socks in soft colors hand-kitten by my mom (RIP)
Story: Oh, there were WAY to may to count. I loved books so much that I wasn't very picky, but I especially liked anything that was a little SCARY.
Holiday Disaster: Well the worst Christmas was probably the one where my mother went to a party Christmas Eve where there was a lot of smoking, and it triggered an allergy attack which triggered her asthma, and she ended up spending all of Christmas in an oxygen tent in the hospital. As kids, we were not allowed in, so we could just wave to her from the parking lot. My father made us kids pose for photos where we pretended to be all happy and excited, but we were all bummed out. Worst Christmas ever.
Color: Favorite changes with season...right now I seem to be enjoying bright pink and purple.
Breakfast: Homemade waffles with locally cured bacon...I eat this about once a year...I'm pretty fond of oatmeal with blueberries and Greek yogurt.....and tea lots of tea!
Socks: Mostly chosen for warmth, but I have some nice ones in shades of blue and green that I made.
Story: The Gingerbread Man. My mother had to change the end of it because I got so mad when the Gingerbread Man got eaten up. He ran away to the woods in my version. (It may say something about me that I always hated stories about making characters conform.)
Holiday Disaster: The year Proge's dad decided the fresh goose we had been given needed to age more. He left it in the truck for the warmest Christmas ever. We could not be in the yard with it, let alone the house. I invented a pretty cool meal with prociutto, pasta, fresh vegetables, but I was so glad I did not have to use the truck for anything that winter!

5) What is your favorite holiday disaster?
That would be the time shortly after graduating from Bennington, when I was stuck for nine hours in the Pittsfield, MA, Greyhound station during a Christmas Day blizzard. At some point during the long wait, the station attendant took off the lousy 'Muzack' that was playing on the loudspeakers in the station, and substituted Handel's Messiah, and before long almost everybody in the station was smiling and singing along. Then he ordered pizzas for us.

5) What is your favorite holiday disaster?
The first year we decided to forgo Christmas Eve with one side of the family and stayed at a hotel instead. We were just in Des Moines, but didn't think to get food or anything and everything was closed so we had to go to my apartment and raid the cupboards and had sandwiches for dinner. It was very odd, but nice to get out of Christmas Eve. I forget where it was that year, but in years past I'd have to stand outside in the cold because my eyes would be burning out of my skull with all the smoke in the room and just oddness. So we were in a hotel, doing nothing really.
Late to the party...

Periwinkle blue... or really just blue in its many forms

5) What is your favorite holiday disaster?
I have successfully deleted these from my mind...
Well, I'm late on this...and probably it doesn't matter, but I'll go ahead anyway.
Color - Green. Not some wimpy green, either. A pure green. (although periwinkle blue is another favorite).
Breakfast - Sunday mornings with our favorite pals. Doesn't matter what we eat, it's the company we keep that matters.
Socks - Hanes COTTON, ankle fit with arch support. Can't find them anymore. (They're made in China now and have a funky smell).
Bedtime Story - Hummm.
Disaster - Did I ever speak about the time my ex husband had my 10 year old son drive his truck into the driveway....
LOL
