tiny teapots
(tiny teapots by Gary Rith)
We had a young visitor the other day who noticed a couple of very small pots I had made a few years ago, one was 1" scale (1" to a foot) and the other a little bigger, no scale. The smaller at one inch scale does not work and is simply a teapot shaped item, the bigger does, the spout being big enough to pour through. I don't know how easy it would be to make a pouring spout which is smaller than a piece of grass!
ANYWAY, the visitor was curious about it all, saying that it is stuff Barbie could use, and a pitcher she saw the size of a thumb would be good for American Girl. I have no idea what scale those dolls are, but I made this yellow pair...one is not useable at one inch scale, the large holds a spoonful of tea and pours :) Have a great Monday!

American Girl dolls are VERY popular. You should find their measurements and make a tea-set that fits them and their little owners.
thanks, good point: just looked it up, it is 2 inch scale, as in 2 inches = one foot :)
Very sweet. I know a Georgia artist that makes tiny teapots also. I'm not sure how you all do them, they seem very difficult. They are also very popular.
Gorgeous tiny teapots. I made a miniature tea set for two of my granddaughters...and maybe a few pieces still haven't been been broken. It took me just about as long as making full size teapots, cups, saucers, creamers etc.
Those are precious.
those are sweet! i love minis and have a collection of mini vases sitting on the kitchen window sill. they are all made by jeff, i am not that good at making them.
My 8 year old self is DYING over those teapots. Oh who am I kidding? The 48 year old me is dying too! Fabulous!!!!
