Penny the therapy dog and her sidekick, ME

(Penny LOVES to drive around....)
Penny, as you know, is a volunteer therapy dog at Longview senior living. (we have done this for some months...although our training begins NEXT month...basically we have no idea what we are doing, yet, and Penny just wanders around jumping onto people's laps and loving them)
I follow her around.  She gets a boatload of attention and smiles every week, and yesterday was maybe the most fun and most new people we have ever seen.... below you see the activity board at Longview with Penny at 9:45.  People come from all over the building to see her.....

My best pal Kerry works there and we walk around together....and I noticed she has Kermit the frog on her shoulder! I was too polite (this time) to ask what other tats she has and where....

Longview has the most pretty setting anywhere, with trails in and out of the woods....Penny needs a good warm up walk before we go in, sort of take some of the energy down a bit....

We love having Penny visit! (And I love getting to visit with Gary every single week! It makes Monday morning so much better!)

Should your name beside that two o'clock clay class?

I don't know who the clay teacher is....there is a really nice kiln there and they are up to something!

I thought the same thing! You could teach them to make cute bowls with dogs on them! I love how the sign says PENNY....with Gary. I always tell Jim it's good to know your place amongst the pets.

If you and Penny get there 30 minutes early, perhaps they would share Coffee and Conversation with you! ;)

I love that you do this with Penny. All those folks who have had to give up being pet owners must get such joy being around Penny.

Penny really seems to make them happy.

I've heard that having animals around the elderly and ill actually lowers blood pressure. You're doing good work.

I love how you get second billing on the board (after Penny, OF COURSE)...
