blowin' the roof off....

Naw, just ordinary wear and age.  When we painted the house 2 years ago you felt like "WOW, that is a big and wonderful change!"  whereas replacing the roof is super expensive and....well, it is not this wonderful change you notice.  But like pumping the septic tank YOU GOTTA DO IT!

You wonder who would work on a roof, it is such AWFUL work, and I hired a company that only does that, every day.  We saw our neighbor's finished in 3 tidy days.  These guys had a good start but bad showers sent them home midday, they will be back for today's nice weather....
our poor dog and cat--I didn't think they would ACTUALLY arrive Monday morning, as promised, because, well, contractors, right?  And I came home from errands to find the house under siege and the dog and cat REALLY upset because of the noise and fuss.....
can't make an omelette without breaking eggs.... be wonderful if they were done Friday....or before :)

These excellent vases just came outta the kiln, you might need one! 2 for sale NOW at my etsy gallery!

A new roof doesn't look like a huge change, but think about how nice and cozy you will be come winter. The silence when the roofers leave will be deafening!
Those are some pretty cool vases; particularly like the middle one.

How warm, dry and snug you will be this winter, and many years to come, for your new roof. What an investment though!

When I had a roof replaced year back, I had to take some pictures off the wall because I thought they were going to fall off! A roof isn't as much fun as new paint but I am sure you will step back and admire it.

Extra tar paper = free space saving bats. At least that's a bright side...oh and the roof won't leak, another plus.

I am totally in love with my new roof. A year later, I still go out and admire it. Yes, I'm a weirdo, but not having the ceiling in the kitchen leak every time it rains makes me exceedingly happy. But yowza...expensive. Speaking of expensive, waiting on the air conditioning repairmen...day 2. Oy.

A roof with no fiddler? ;-)

Like you, I loathe spending money on things that aren't' pretty. BUT….we gotta do it!

Yeah, a new roof is a pretty unglamorous way to spend money. I just bought two new tires for the Momvan. Could totally come up with better and more fun ways to spend my money than THAT!
