what makes a good blog post? a good blogger? a discussion...

Penny thinks she is a super hero named ROCKET PUP with magical flying powers....

I am sort of a forward looking person. I post then start thinking about the next post. But I notice other bloggers checking their comments and having discussions back and forth. Its not like I don't look at comments, but as i say, I am looking ahead and not thinking much about the last post. That probably makes me seem lazy or standoffish.
Then there are my posts. 4 years of blogging and its the same old crapola: the dogs, the cats, the pots, and here is me pretending I am a big deal with my martini...anyway, sure, my life is repetitive too and I blog it all, why not? Its interesting to me :)
Your thoughts on blogging? I swear I will check into the comments!

Beckster....

This is one of those BONUS posts from me you love so much. You KNOW I am good for at least one post a day, and try to not post more than 5 times a day. I wasn't planning to post again, but I was reading Becky Jo's blog with all the pics of her dogs and cats and pottery and SPIKE jumps up to look at her dogs and cats and pottery and so I grabbed the camera, and then, of course, it is a pretty morning's walk with Buster and Penny and the wife....who is, of course "don't take my photo!" and after I do she is like "don't post any photos of me!" which I didn't hear....(and YES, we are lucky to live in such a pretty place with the river behind our house and all the trees getting colorful right now)

freakishly hot!

They tell us it will rain later, but mid-80s for the next 3 days, impossible! We had our first frost yesterday morning and I don't mind hot weather. My nose has been all sneezy for like 3 weeks, and I think I earned a scout medal yesterday: getting stuff done with a constantly running nose. Like these suoer good pots above, I am having some fun, seeing where these ideas are headed. Also got a load glazed and the pots are firing now quite happily....

Check out the awesome new items at my etsy gallery too!

glam dog

My main goal for Sunday was to get photos of Penny beagle in sunglasses. That and clean the house. Playing with the dog was a lot more amusing, and of course since it was talk like a pirate day, I was wearing my Snoopy pirate shirt....

grand day out!

September kinda blows you away doesn't it? Sunny warm and golden!!!! I had to make a pottery delivery, so I grabbed the wife and we had an ADVENTURE on a pretty day.

There is this great gallery in a barn in the middle of nowhere that is also a farm and they make soaps, an hour south of us in Pennsylvania. Sea hag is a totally fun destination, gorgeous place!

Then we drove back into NY state and went to maybe my favorite restaurant: Whole in the Wall in Binghamton, one of those hippy places still going strong!
Then we spent the whole glorious afternoon at the Binghamton zoo. I did a show there last month, some of you will recall, and brought the wife this time...and my rotton sock monkey Georges Le Soq. he chatted with some of his cousins who were doing time for reckless endangerment, check kiting and littering, but hid in my bag when we were near the big cats.....

TRUE confessions

So me and the wife are walking the dogs a minute ago and have this convo:
She "did your sister have a troll doll?"
me "yeah, she had a troll doll"
she "did she have little kiddles, Heidi, DAWN????"
me "I don't think so, but she did have a Barbie and she had made a nice doll house out of a cardboard box and contact paper. I always went and played with it when she was out"
she "how did your older sister feel about you playing in her room????"
me "she didn't like it, but I didn't care. I would strip Barbie nekkid first"
she "you did what???"
me "sure, didn't every boy? Then I made Barbie into this flying superhero. Strip her nekkid, then make her fly around fighting crime! Didn't every boy?"
she "GAWD! I don't believe it! This little overs3xed 8 year old. It explains a lot"

interspecies LOVE....

I needed to make a bunch of monster mugs. You can see that both the mugs and me are looking pretty fierce...
cats and dogs surprise you when you are not looking. They will be locked in a romantic embrace, sharing intimate secrets....

Do you ever wonder what happens to one hit wonders like The Joeboxers? I mean, this absolutely perfect tune and then...that's it? Are they selling shoes or maybe became teachers or veterinarians???
