its not spring if there is no snow!

I hear that Ithaca is on track to break a record this year for snow...the least EVER in winter! Under 22 inches for the season, something like that. It is due to get to the 70s by Sunday (oh boy!) but this week has had its chilly moments indeed...as April always does. Its the 74 that is unusual in April, snow is normal.
Check out the after and before of Wednesday's glaze firing--I just popped the lid up, looking mahvelous! I love that ice blue glaze....
Have a great Thursday!

It seems we've gone from Summer to Spring here in Atlanta. Eighty's one day, down to 37 last night.

The snow on pink flamingos is my favorite pic. A bit of a geographical irony, eh?

Lack of snow is probably good for your septic system at least.
I like the nice creamy glaze. It breaks up the bright gloss of electric kiln firing.
Hope you are having a good week!

We've been getting frost warnings here. It's been so nice. I swear they are just saying these frost warnings because they just want to create some sort of weather drama since it's all been so nice and boring this year.

My teenager finally pulled on a pair of shorts today... but I think he'll be sorry!
We seem to be done with snow BUT today our temps will only reach 51 (and that doesn't count wind chill).

I'd love to see a close-up of that pot in the kiln...
