You know Jen does this thing every Tuesday, a chance for us to share old snapshots? I flipped the album open and here was this pair of shots from when I was a college freshman, about 17, and my nephew Ben, born at that time, when I started college, thirty years ago in 2013! I had me some long hair there, hmm?
In other news, my pal Trevor is a professional firefighter, with, as you might imagine, a varied schedule. Yesterday I am like "its your weekend today, right?" and he is like "yep" (Trevor is this quiet guy with a big smile...so if he speaks, it is meaningful) and I am like "my last LAST LAST load of Christmas orders is cooking in the kiln and I need to celebrate with somebody! Come over for some beers"... and he came over and we gossiped about YOU.
Penny adores Trevor. His wife was telling us one day the first time she met her future husband "I was in college and there was this get together with all these students meeting a wolf and the wolf went right up to Trevor and he was rubbing it and loving it and talking to it and the WOLF LOVED TREVOR. And I started thinking "huh, look at this guy, I wonder......"
You will recall that my doggy nephew Yogi, the fuzzy golden doodle puppy, is Trevor's new family dog....that dog is AWESOME.

I love the pictures! I bet you'd like my dogs too, only they are a bit bigger than yours :)
Yeah, the hair is a bit longer but you look exactly the same. Nice to have friends that can come over and celebrate with you on a week day.
I truly enjoy this regular feature of Flashback Tuesday. Heartfelt and vivid description of your friend Trevor. Thanks for the day brighteners...It's gloomy here for the upteenth day (had half a day sun about month ago).
I love when you put up old photos!! They are so cool!
How sweet it is to have friends over, and especially friends who have magic ways with your doggy pal. :-)
Spammers S#*K! What possible enjoyment can they get from this? I don't blame you for moderating comments.
You were pretty cool looking guy in your youth....and you haven't changed much.
Isn't it odd how some people are natural animal magnets? I think you're one too!
A guy who likes dogs is usually a good guy.
You look preppy in that photo--it's a good look!
You can tell a lot about people by the way they treat animals.
Congrats on your final-final load in the kiln! Whoohoo!
I've never trusted a person who didn't love animals!
Love those old photos Gary....long hair and all :)
