Time warp Tuesday and my new nephew Yogi....

You know that Jen has this time warp Tuesday thing going on, looking back at some old snapshots every week....this is the wife nearly 20 years ago on the back deck of our apartment in Chicago, these pics have been in my filofax in the same spot for that whole time, nearly 20 years! I talked about our cat Sammy and dog Petey last week, and here they are again....I really did put up a beware of dog sign outside our place, I thought it was a hilarious joke, although Petey was small, he was BADASS.  I came home from a class one time at ten pm and someone was in the dark at our back door maybe trying a breakin, and the dog went batsh!t, the wife let him out, and Petey viciously chased the guy away! He was carrying a stereo already, some kind of crackhead perhaps.  We called the police who brought over some other poor guy, unlucky enough to be walking down the street with like 100 dollars of coins in his pockets....anyway, doesn't the wife look fantastic?  You would keep these photos in your filofax for 20+ years too, wouldn't you?

In other news, many of you know about my sideline!  I moonlight as a dogwalker and petsitter! I am a pro, of course, with a rate sheet and references and I charge, as NY state requires, sales tax too...
anyway, I am sooooooooooooo excited because my neighbors were talking last week
"we are getting a puppy! But we cannot find doggy daycare!" and I am like "WAIT A MINUTE here, I am a pro, what could be easier than the guy you know and trust who lives right HERE?".
So this is Yogi.  He is a 10 week old golden doodle.  He is mellow and sweet and loves me, and I get to play with him...FOR MONEY, HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (more on my dog gig next week...but why do I do this?  Well, we used to have 3 dogs and 2 cats and I won't do that again, more than 2 pets, but it is fun to play with other animals, and I like to have a diversified business model ;)

Hey, new stuff at my etsy gallery, have a look!

Oh my gosh! What a cute dog!
The sign made me think of my grandpa... After they had an attempted break in, he made a sign that said "warning.. Pitt Bull with AIDS". He thought it was hysterical.

Pet sitting is great fun. You get the best time with other people's animals but don't have to vacuum. Yogi looks sweet.

I really love seeing the gorgeous photos of Maude. Gosh, what a lovely, class, act. You are a lucky man Gary...lucky!
You and I are truly cousins at heart. I too had dreams of being a dog caretaker. I work so well with animals, people not so much all the time. People I love I will do anything for, some of the others, not so much. I am cordial, but not loving towards the unloving.
I adore dogs, and think you are perfect for the job. I know I would trust my two munchkins with you with careless abandon. Believe you me, I am saying a lot with that last sentence. I trust no one with my pets, no one....but you and Maude, absolute faith in you.

Love the Petey story...yep, a true badass! The Missus looks just as pretty today as she did back then.
Love the new gig; wish you lived across the street from me....my babies would love someone to play with them while I'm gone.

I've lived in some places where I really ought to have had a dog like yours.

And SWEET to have a paying doggie gig! Pay to play just took on a new meaning. :)

The wife always looks fab and that little doggie is adorable. You're such an entrepreneur.

Those photos of your lovely wife are gorgeous! She looks like a model in one of those Ralph Lauren Polo ads. No wonder you've kept them all these years. And Yogi...good grief, that is one cute face.
