A few years ago in 2005 I was making all kinds of elephant things and Janine was like "could you make an elephant creamer that pours out of the snoot?" and I was like "Oh yeah! I have seen watering cans like that..." (maybe you have seen one?) and I made 2, the one you see here in front glazed blue for me, and one for our friend Janine.
But then we moved and it was packed etc and I forgot about them...until this past weekend when Kate and Jim sent a piggy watering can for my birthday, as you saw. So, yesterday I had a BALL revisiting that idea indeed....it takes a lot longer than you might think to make those....
Below are some berry bowls that Elizabeth asked for, I looooove that glaze scheme...have an awesome day!
Very cute, and love the glaze on the berry bowls.
is Janine, the very cool Janine from the Concord League Store?!
gorgeous berry bowls, the new owner will love them.
What lovely work...I love elephants as animals, and as pots they are stupendous! The berry bowls are super as well!
YES, same Janine :)
You've always made VERY cool stuff, Gary. Every weekend I use my 'berry' bowls and the 'spatter blue' bowls.
Glad you're re-visiting some old themes!
Aw! Just as sweet as can be! :)
Snooty elephants...love them
The berry bowls are Sawwwweeet too.
