whacked pot....

(teapot by me)
How do you describe this?  I doodled an idea as I fell asleep last week--a leaning teapot with swirly designs....only, how to do it?  You sort of grab the wet piece and push it over...and whack it into shape...then for the swirly?  I did some tests...they all look good! The only problem is figuring out how to make other whacked pieces and shapes...more to experiment :)
Happy Monday!

Many potters will use darting to make the lean happen. You could try that also.

I think you've got a good technique there. I wouldn't go the Leaning Tower of Pisa route; gives folks vertigo. ;-)

the tea pots seem joyous and whimsical. I echo the Reverend Awesome's comment...the creativity just keeps churning!
