wheels keep on turning....
The wife wandered through the studio yesterday, got some snaps of me finishing one mug and glazing another... my favorite part of pottery is glazing, second is finishing thrown items. Throwing clay on the wheel? A distant third: it makes me feel unbelieveably great, but I always feels like the writer and the blank page, full of anxiety about the unknown, whereas with trimming and glazing, all the decisions have already been made, you just have to follow the known steps :)

Glad to see that you are staying busy and out of trouble! It looks like you have glazing down pat! I have to admit it's my least favorite part of the process.
Thanks for the sonnet. Will Shakespeare always has appropriate words.
great to see your process...love the mug, didn't see you make the critter, it must have just jumped onto that handle!
I'm bowled over by the awesome pitchers of the mug shots.
The last time I used a potter's wheel was in high school. I've looked for continuing ed classes locally, but haven't found any. I did take a hand-building class a few years ago. It was so much fun to play with clay, and I'd love to try the wheel again some day.
I love pottery making pictures! Very cool to see the process.
The wheel throwing is my favorite part because all of the questions are there for the asking. Funny how we all see the process of throwing pots a little differently.
