the story of the PINK SOAP dish and partying whilst the wife is out of town...

By the way, I am featured artist at SKULL A DAY, check it out!

You will recall that the wife is out of town and here its quite busy. I should clean the garage, basement and mix glazes in the dungeon but I am not yet in the mood. I decided making a big pizza amounts to something like dinner, lunch and dinner AGAIN.....

I was talking to cousin Michele yesterday on the phone, and she is like "you're all alone, what are you going to DO?". Of course, I am alone most of the work week anyway, plus I have the dogs and cats and a lot to accomplish....

Saturday was wicked busy....

Like I was saying yesterday, about our lawn and the neighbor's? Penny is showing off the great divide.....its not knee high over there....YET......

I went down to the South Hill rail trail for the first time on my bike...holy CATS it is heavenly! It goes through heavy forest with little waterfalls and ponds and deer all over....

It was Alita's 40th birthday party. They had a bouncy house! That is her little girl in there bouncing. I am guessing Alita's kids slept VERY well last night.....

I went up to Aurora Art and Design Gallery to stock them up. This is how Saturday can disappear.....

OK, the pink soap dish story? This lady is nosing around my display with her friend. She is loudly repeating to her friend over and over as she pokes around at my stuff, IGNORING ME

"I just painted my bathroom pink. I need a new soapdish. I really need a new soapdish!". Over and over and over. I am guessing a) she was looking for a pink soap dish amongst my items and b) why didn't I have one? What is wrong with this artist, no pink soap dishes!

Oh, the pink soap dish! We can forever refer to that 'type' of shopper as a Pink Soap Dish Customer. :D

Art in the Park was yesterday and a customer asked me if I did special orders.. I asked her what she was looking for and she said one piece of a set she had BROKE and she wanted to know if I could duplicate it.... ahhhhhhhh! I politely told her that I couldn't match someone else's work for the various reasons. She seemed a little annoyed, but oh well. ;)

Also, super cute elephante teapots. :)

HAHAHAHA----the soap dish story made me laugh because when I took a ceramics class in college the first things I made were a napkin holder and a soap dish because I needed them for my apartment at the time!! HAHAHA! (And I still have them to this day!)
