if it is Indian summer in fall, what is it in January?

That delightful return to warm weather?  Most northern winters in the past seemed to go loooooong stretches, like Halloween until Mother's Day, with snow piling on snow, cold and...colder.  This has been a fun January!  We get a week of unbelieveable cold and snow followed by a wonderful break.  Again, all our snow cover melted overnight, some rain, 50+ today.... 2 weeks ago it was 60.  This may not seem like much to some visitors to this blog, but it is unbelieveably nice and a week ago it was -5.  Thursday and Friday returns to the usual arctic....20 for a high...but the break is great :)

Nook and I went to Ithaca Falls again yesterday....ice flying everywhere and the falls roar like 100 trains, really!

I keep telling you I am trying to organize my favorite glaze schemes and favorite shapes.... these are 2 favorite glaze schemes and 2 favorite bowl shapes..... mmmmm....JADE! Have a great Wednesday!

Fifty plus here in souther Ri too. It was so nice to get up this morning and see the snow gone baby gone! It's a relief to get a break from days where it doesn't go above 20.....almost a mini vacation!

The jade is a luscious glaze!

Those bowls are very pretty, they look like they'd be perfect soup or ice cream bowls. What size are they?

I like the rims that have the crimps...I'm trying that as well. I think I need to make about a million pots before I can get a series of bowls to have the same "profile"...even when I weigh the clay and try to do the same motions every time...So, gentle reader...look at Gary's pots and be impressed on MANY levels!

These are pretty big serving bowls, would hold a large serving of green beans, mashed potato or salad to serve several people :)

I am really liking the altered rim bowls with the stamping inside.

Was warm here, too, however, now we are going to get a cold spell! Lovely bowls!

I'm loving your bowls! Nookie is adorable, too. We got a hit of the 50 degree weather here in Korea, and it really feels strange.

Fake Spring?
No such thing here, but that's okay -- I'm still jonesing for a significant snowfall. (I know, I'm crazy!)
