HEAVY METAL MONDAY! \m/
The great happiness and optimism of HIGH FIVE FRIDAY seems to be, in my mind, logically followed by HEAVY METAL MONDAY. Feeling vaguely pissed off? Had enough of February??? Dang, its MONDAY after all! GET YOUR DEVIL'S HORNS OUT!!!!
If I look back, I realize that like with fine wine or French movies, the older you get, the more you appreciate some things--like heavy metal. I didn't pay any attention to it back in the 70s and 80s, because I was too busy listening to Tears for Fears and Flock of Seagulls. But as your tastes mature, you come to love teh Megadeth, Motorhead, Motley Crew and Metallica.
And so, we have a new feature to add to High Five Friday's optimism and celebration, Heavy Metal Monday is where we grouse and complain and kick some ass....
Of course, actually, I have absolutely no reason to be pissed at anything today, the wife being back from a trip, mild temps and rain out there, not snow.......

I am totally down with Metal Monday! I too have grown to appreciate the finer heavier music as I age. Gets your blood pumpin, and the creative juices flowin...
I love the look that the kitty is giving those devil horns!
Megadeth is one of my son's favourite metal groups. One of his buddies' two uncles were in the band.. the Drovers. so Alex has been to a number of the concerts with the family, spent time with them all, has hung at Glen Drover's home here in Mississauaga and has their "Born Metal - Die Metal - 2006" concert t-shirt and backstage pass (signed by each of them) hanging on his bedroom wall. Yeah, he's a fan. ;)
I just want to squeeze that little Penny ...
Oh Yeah, and our Heavy Metal pets, all livin life, lovin life, and yeah feeling the pain! lol lol :) What could be better than that? You are Brilliant Cousin Wonderful, Brilliant.
Keep us Oldsters (George and I ) hearts a pumpin, and blood a boiling...Ah Heavy Metal our love. \m/
Nothing keeps your soul younger than good old primal music....
