mug shot Monday goes to the ...frogs....

(new mugs by Gary Rith)

What can I say?  Frogs (and toads!) are a favorite.  If life gives you lemons, make lemonade, if life gives you green glazes, make frog mugs :)

“I'm such a clever Toad.”
Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows

“Toad, with no one to check his statements or to criticize in an unfriendly spirit, rather let himself go. Indeed, much that he related belonged more properly to the category of what-might-have-happened-had-I-only-thought-of-it-in-time-instead-of-ten-minutes-afterwards. Those are always the best and raciest adventures; and why should they not be truly ours, as much as the somewhat inadequate things that really come off?”

What interesting shaped mugs...it's like having 2 stacked together in one mug! Yay toads and frogs...and you do have a good green there! I'm off making lemonade these days!

Very cute mugs, Gary.

Is it just me, or does the Wind in the Willows toad resemble Oscar the Grouch? :)
