SPAGHETTI PIE: do it 4 times this week...
Spaghetti pie is one of those things you didn't realize you were missing. A mass of noodles for a crust, gooey, soft and savory fillings and toppings, what's not to LOVE?
I made an adaptation of this recipe (click here) Wednesday...enough for 2 meals for 2 people...then MADE IT AGAIN for 2 more meals for 2 people...OH GOSH, heaven.. :)
You've probably been wondering what I've been dreaming. Last night included an especially vivid dream where I taught 12th graders 8th period English. Day one was how to write a postcard. I don't know why I thought it was so important to practice and assign as homework, but I was serious about it as an important LOST ART. Sure, you can go to Hawaii and share your pics in seconds around the world, but don't people still like a personal note with a stamp and photo of the beach...? I do :)
In other news, you probably need awesome new pots for yourself and your friends for the UPCOMING holidays...any holidays, get you some POTS! Click here on my etsy shoppe!
One of the neat things my brother always did when he was on a cruise was to send postcards. I saved most of them; now they hold memories of good times!
ReplyDeleteI agree that there is something special about a handwritten sentiment delivered by snail mail. I have been sending simple little surprises to family and friends since I moved south. It makes me happy and I hope it does the same for them.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that might be a fun assignment to try!
ReplyDeleteI do love the snail mail so much.
Spaghetti pie. Sounds yummy and comforting.
I like to send and receive postcards too. It is a lost art. I'm glad someone is dream teaching it. :-)
ReplyDeleteXO
Also, I just printed that spaghetti pie recipe. What is your variation? GF pasta and ... ?
ReplyDeleteI love getting postcards. I have a friend in Oregon who is a champion postcard writer. I should remember to send them more often since I love receiving them so much.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Cheri. What's in you spaghetti pie. I see veggies in yours but not in the original. Yours looks better!
ReplyDeleteSee, now you'll have to make it a THIRD time for US! :)
ReplyDeleteI saw this on Cheri’s blog, gosh it looks good. I can smell it baking in the oven now.
ReplyDeleteHello, I came over from Cheri's blog because even though I was skeptical about the idea of spaghetti pie, I couldn't resist the name of your blog. I thought you might be a kindred spirit as my friend Anne (of Green Gables) likes to say, and maybe I'm right.
ReplyDeleteI'm also willing to give the spaghetti pie a chance :)
