are turtles anything but kindly?
I wonder, except for snapping turtles, and if you are not a bug or fish, turtles are pretty harmless aren't they? And they always look so wise. Next to frogs, turtles have always been a favorite of mine. I wanted to use this new celadon glaze with turtles, and decided to try some green polka dots on there…good move, doncha think?
In other news, it is just a week until VALENTINE's day! Get your good pots here…..
I like how the dots are very subtle. I like turtles too... When was a kid I had a couple little turtles in a shallow turtle dish... with an island and a plastic palm tree. The kind they can't sell anymore because they carry some disease. They were so popular in the 60's & 70's!
ReplyDeleteAh, Michele reminds me of my turtles too. And I rescued a few box turtles which were in the middle of the road...lived for a while in a box on the porch until I finally took them to some park or another. Gary...great dots and turtles!
ReplyDeleteGlad you noted the exception of the snapping turtle. We learned to give them wider berth after seeing what happened to a kid in our neighborhood get scratched up...at the kid for all his nicks and cuts refused to let the turtle go!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, they are kindly creatures. Except for snappers. They're grouchy.
ReplyDeleteYour turtles are adorable! We have some box turtles and some gopher tortoises is our yard; they're delightful!!!
