Godzilla, corgis, empathy and sympathy!

I was putting Godzilla on the SIDES of mugs and realized that a small one on the handle or rim of a bowl would be QUITE AWESOME. And no, I don't need a corgi, I babysit one every day :)

(new Godzilla pottery by Gary Rith)

The short below is quite short but explains the difference between effective empathic listening and sympathy....which do you think is more effective in healing a friend's wounds? Cute animation too...

  2. Was that from Brene Brown's vulnerability TED talk? Good one.

I can't even with the dragon costume. Fabulous mug and bowl!

  3. I love the corgi in costume, that’s too cute.

I think empathy is great, if you can actually be empathetic, but sometimes you just don’t have the life experience for it so sympathy works too.

  4. Well Gary, I think you've met you match in cuteness...that puppy in a godzilla suit is pretty good. Thanks for video on connections.

  6. The corgi is the cutest thing ever.
I'm extremely empathetic. This is why I can't watch the news; all the bad stuff cuts me to my core.

  7. I think most of us are empathetic but have trouble expressing it. This little short gives us all some words to say when your not sure what to say. Very well done, thank you for sharing.
