raspberry tart: NOT a rude sound made by a person with fast and loose morals...
Before we talk tasty tarts: A few things I was finishing Wednesday and below, a magnificent flower crop near our house....
When I was a kid I baked with my mom every week. Nothing could make me happier than assisting and licking off the spoon....
it has been about 40 years for this particular effort, but when she made pie there was always extra crust for me to roll out and fold, add some jam, make a turnover and bake: my own little tart! I was telling this to the wife as we made raspberry jam Tuesday, as you know, and so I HAD to take a little jam to make tarts OH BOY. What could be easier, right? I use, as you know, a rice flour crust, then baked them 15 minutes at 350, obviously any pie crust and any jam would do it.... have an awesome day!
That is a very cool idea --I see some berry tarts in my daughter's future!
ReplyDeleteThose raspberry jam tarts look delish! What a perfect combination of cooking and pottery!
