pitchers: career choices involving baseballs and clay
When I was ten my friends and I played baseball night and day. Then I pestered my father to play baseball when the other kids had dinner. I had a (for a ten year old, on my block) good eye, and liked to pitch... I imagined being a pitcher one day... fast forward, and that impulse came up against a far BIGGER dream...of making pitchers! I love pitchers and love clay, baseball never had a chance ;)
(new pottery by Gary Rith)
Am I ever glad you did the pitchers in clay...and pictures of them too. The finger helped bring things into scale...though I'm pretty sure the middle pic shows much bigger pitchers!
ReplyDeleteThose are incredibly sweet.
ReplyDeleteProbably easier on your elbows, too!
ReplyDeletei'll take your pitchers over baseball pitchers any day!
ReplyDeleteGary has incredibly large fingers...those are your average sized pitchers!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is it how life turns out???
ReplyDeleteThe babies are so cute.
