you only get up at 3am because: a) you want to organize your files! b) you want to play with your cat! c) you want to make a teapot!

D)  All of the above!
I was sleeping soundly and awoke...with an idea.  For a teapot.  I started playing with the cat, sleeping on the pillow next to me, the wife being in NYC partying with the sisters, and began thinking "have you REALLY cleaned your desk (as you claimed yesterday) if you have NOT gone through all those boring files UNDER your desk???" and it was all too EXCITING so I had to get up and...well, here I am.

The teapot I mention is all part of the NEW YEAR, NEW IDEAS push.  I always seem to come out of the Christmas season with a bunch of ideas screaming NEW AND IMPROVED!

The first of these is below, just outta the kiln, a decorating scheme of blue squiggles under greens...I know you have seen me do things like this in the past, but this is the NEXT STEP for me....this pitcher is large and EXCITING, yet friendly and fun!

    I love the new blue squiggles under the green...I see clouds floating through the sea, er sky. Well, I like it anyway, mixed metaphor and all.

    I like the squiggles with the green.
    My goal today was to sleep past seven, and I didn't get up until nine! Woo hoo, it felt good.

    The brushwork adds some levity...sort of like someone smiling and winking (to bring in another simile). Love the way the colors work together. Reminds me of a mug I have....heh heh heh:)

    Like the new variations on a good looking pitcher!
    I'm looking forward to teapots....which are near and dear to my heart!
    I thought I was going to relax in bed with tea and my sketchbook. Winter decided at 5:30 AM that there were killer deer in the yard that needed seeing to!

    We got up at 3 am one morning because some people in the house were going to Vegas. (Not for gambling.) Homer decided it was breakfast time. Imagine his disappointment when lights went out again at 3:30.
