In New York state, kids go back to school a couple days after Labor Day, until around June 20. I always hear about kids in southern states around the US starting in roasting hot August, whoa! How come? Of course, they finish in May....
anyhow, I am accustomed to life beginning at Labor Day. We all have to go back to something! We have to get serious! Even in Europe you hear that nobody does anything in August.
Well, it is September now.
I havn't had a pet sitting gig in a couple of weeks. I was back together with Puffy the cat yesterday. She is sleek and pretty and good fun as usual...
I also had my first session running Gallery 41! You will recall 2 weeks ago I joined an artist coop...and Sunday was my first time minding the store. It was excellent fun. There are many things to do...and luckily it is a well organized place, with good lists and instructions for forgetful people like me...
I am VERY lucky at the great diversity of fun things I can do to make a living :)
Nice gallery display!
ReplyDeletePuffy's having a great time!
ReplyDeleteSweet cat, sweet gallery display, and yes my kids are headed back tomorrow morning. (The college kids have been in class since August 19th -- bring in the harvest, go to your ag-school, get out early to help all summer long. But that doesn't explain El Paso public schools going to school in August!)
ReplyDeleteWhat an elegant pose Puffy is in!
ReplyDeleteThe coop sounds just awesome Gary; you get your foot in the door with awesome opportunities!!!! GO YOU.
ReplyDeleteI thought the cat photos at first were Spike....and I'd wondered where most of Spike went to. :)
Have a great day!
My theory on southern schools starting early? It's usually too darn hot by August to do ANYTHING so might as well start school....
