whacked pot....
(teapot by me)
How do you describe this? I doodled an idea as I fell asleep last week--a leaning teapot with swirly designs....only, how to do it? You sort of grab the wet piece and push it over...and whack it into shape...then for the swirly? I did some tests...they all look good! The only problem is figuring out how to make other whacked pieces and shapes...more to experiment :)
Happy Monday!
Many potters will use darting to make the lean happen. You could try that also.
ReplyDeleteI think you've got a good technique there. I wouldn't go the Leaning Tower of Pisa route; gives folks vertigo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet teapot...glad you're getting off center...I never know where you'll go next, Gary!
ReplyDeleteThat's really cute and creative.
ReplyDeletethey are dancing!
ReplyDeleteYou're so clever. Really really cool. You're always coming up with something new.
ReplyDeletethe tea pots seem joyous and whimsical. I echo the Reverend Awesome's comment...the creativity just keeps churning!
ReplyDeleteQuite Suessical!
