all I want is a new toy.....

Like many of you will recall, I always say that when I was five and saw Pinnochio, I wanted to be Gepetto! The guy who makes the toys that come alive...and I try and try, and, well, did a lot of that this week. I was in the mood to turn the robot pot into a pull toy, and you may remember 2 weeks ago I found an antique beagle pull toy which matched one I had as a baby......you can see where this all leads....the only problem was getting the wheels properly attached, and I decided to bake fimo onto the ends of the axles, ahHA!

  3. Very cool indeed sir! I do not remember seeing the beagle toy post, but I would wager it is a lot like the one my grandma used to have when I was just a wee lad. She also had an old wooden duck pull toy with leather feet that flapped when you pulled it...pull toys are awesome.
And any time I see a *ceramic* pull toy I think of Boomer Moore's work. Not toys exactly, but very toy inspired.
Now I have a hankering to make a pull toy...

  5. Oh man!, You is on a roll!

I too always wanted a robot, with "Danger, Will Robinson!" voice and waving arms. Oh, and flashing lights.

I can see these becoming treasured heirlooms. You is good.
