People may think "golly, poor guy, home alone while the wife went to NYC to par-TAY!" and while I welcome your sympathy, I did not suffer. I, of course, chose to stay home and make stuff. A LOT of stuff, like, glaze stuff, finish stuff, then bake bread and make apple sauce (I eat apple sauce by the gallon...OH GOSH what an addiction), and Terri Ann and Chris came over with their cutie pie corgi Soupy.
I made a pizza too.....
Bread before and after...I am thinking braiding the dough in 4 strips rather than 3 gives a more fun crust...
Here is something I have not photographed before: raw pots going into firing number one, then glazed pots going into firing number 2 then finished---Friday, Saturday, Sunday, VOILA!
the blue underglaze under the turquoise glaze---looks quite dramatic on the pre-fired pieces but blends in with the turquoise and is fairly subtle..you'll see :)
ReplyDeleteit's like magic!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, all delicious! Dogs, pots, food! Your wife has missed a lot!
ReplyDeleteI see your t-shirt, worn in honour for them. nice one.
ReplyDeletea fourstrand braid does look better in dough
Lovely berry bowls and the food...yum!
ReplyDeleteJust when I think I am a wee bit creative, I see this post and think, MAN! Gary braids and bakes bread, and makes pots, AND makes pizza!
