"my job is very boring I'M AN OFFICE CLERK!"
The wife shot some pics yesterday morning when we walked Penny at the park. January, on the one hand, is cold and snowy, lacking good holidays and sucks eggs. On the other hand, it can all be remarkabley pretty :) Penny is like a little kid, digging and playing in fluffy snow. We got s few more inches of top of that now. She is a 13 inch beagle (13 inches toe-shoulder) and now the snow is above her head.
The wife loves this tune. I remember it well, gosh, we can back at Echo Beach someday! (title of this blog post also comes from that song)
How can Penny walk through the snow if the snow is over her head? We watch the black squirrels in our back yard and they try to hop over and over and get through the foot of snow but they end up going back where they started.
ReplyDeleteMy puppies love the snow... they dig through it and throw it up in the air with their noses. Must be a dog thing. :)
ReplyDeleteMy dogs are southern dogs & are hating the snow. Dori has been trying to hibernate for a week. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteMy friend WEP has a little beagle too, and she cracked me up: "Olivia doesn't like snow on her hoo-ha". Penny does not like WET. This snow is fluffy and she just charges through it! Sometimes we have to make paths for her.
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago, we had 2-3 inches of snow in Baton Rouge for the first time in about 20 years. My southern dogs woke us up at daybreak barking like the house was on fire when they saw it. Once we were able to lure them outside, they loved it.
ReplyDeletePenny needs snow boots!!!!
ReplyDeleteSnow! Snow! Snow!
ReplyDeleteIt makes the snow much more tolerable knowing how much Penny loves it.
ReplyDeleteGreat snow pics... I miss snow like that... welll sort of!
ReplyDeleteperhaps they make doggy snowshoes?
ReplyDeleteAll smaller dogs find their ways to get through deep snow. They plow through or bounce. Seems you've gotten more snow than TO has. Spring is coming.
ReplyDeleteJust look at all the green in that summer pic of your house... AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
ReplyDeleteOh nice photos. And so refreshingly warm to see your summer photo in the header.
