le flamingos, le macaroni burritos, le monkey, le junky movie...

(pottery by Gary Rith)
You know how it is, the wife is out of town visiting her mother and partying with your friends in Kansas so you're stuck at home with your sock monkey.
But first, dig the two teapots here. They JUST this minute came out of the baby kiln. The metal bits are kiln element holders which can be fired to 2300 degrees, and the flamingos are pretty tough little birds. I should make MORE, esp. the smaller one, exciting look eh wot?
Anyway, so yeah, the wife leaves town for a few. I am the housekeeper and chef of the house, and laziness suggests that peanut butter sandwiches would work for the next few days, but I get bored very quickly, and anyway, Georges Le Soq, my rotten French sock monkey is like
"mon ami, we do dinner together, I have idea" and I am like, hungry and hopeful and he goes on
"ees innovative, ees kinky, ees edgy and new" and I am like
"well, just so long as it isn't snails or frogs" and he digs through the cupboard and fridge and takes tortillas and smears some bean dip and salsa on them, simple enough, and then he gets kinky
"mon ami, macaroni ees tonight's secret ingredient, we make macaroni burritos" and we both dump on too much tasty tabasco which is yummy and it turns out to be one of his best inventions yet....then, of course, we had to watch one of the Dirty Harry movies, which racks up a pretty high body count....
Keep pin mind: open studio Saturday 1-5, 540 Main St, Etna, NY (rt 366, the purple house!)

  3. We do that with burritos too. Leftover burrito is great here. I like fried potatoes in a tortilla with anything else thrown in.
