fat cats....
(pottery by Gary Rith)
My big kiln has been dead for a week, and I have replaced everything I can think of with new parts and STILL, nothing. I am at the HAIL MARY point here: a kiln repair guy is (hopefully) coming over this am. If he cannot get it going I may drive 100 + miles and buy a new kiln. I have so much stuff needs firing.
HOWEVER, my baby kiln, the interior of which could hold a pair of shoes, is working nicely and look what just came out, these cats make me soooo happy. Emily and Spike and their nasty canned food and cat litter and vet bills are tax deductions. They are my, um, assistants and um, models....
That's clever. Cat models. :D
ReplyDeleteThat really is cute Gary.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your kiln situation.
Very cute jar, it's obvious that the models were used.
ReplyDeleteThose are very cute assistants, love the jar!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the kiln.
Wow! The little cats look just like the real cats! Well done Gary! :)
ReplyDeleteWould love to purchase the jar, Gary, but every time you make a kitty I love, you love it too and you keep it. ;) If the kitty is up for sale, please let me know on the wildrun blog. Keep on littering! (that's a cat joke).
