When I studied in Ballarat Victoria Australia I had to wear shoes and socks all year round, they think they have summer but it is a cold version compared to here. Thank god for thermal underwear! I do wonder why humans decided to settle in such cold places? (They also think he can't afford shoes. It embarrasses his parents immensely.)

It was 24 degrees yesterday when the kids walked out the door. I questioned the teenager who only added a sweatshirt to his t-shirt and jeans attire... he said, "It's balmy!" Because the day before had been 19 degrees. But hey, no wind and he trots quickly for the 5 blocks to the bus stop. (And at 19 degrees, he added gloves and a hat... plus the backpack keeps him warm.) My younger one has a mile-long walk and dresses a bit warmer. I grew up in Northern Ohio. My friends think I am crazy going out in this weather. I love how your beagle is curled up next to your clothes in the photo. I so enjoy your blog. My studio is in storage right now, so I am doing a lot of reading and walking. No matter what they say, Korean winters are not as long nor as bad as the northeastern U.S. I compare notes with my friends in the Shenandoah Valley, and that's about the same weather as here. Keep warm and get outside. The sun helps. As long as I get a chance to soak up a little sun, I stay healthy even in winter. Best Wishes!
